Another year that I felt my artist muses truly blessed me along with some higher powers. ;-)
Chicago Int'l Quilt Festival brought me to a place where I met fellow friends from the TAQP project that was being exhibited for the first time ever. Great inspirations and new friends are the gifts I brought home from Chicago.

Then again to the beautiful state of Kentucky for the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah. I had a treat this year, I worked as a staff member alongside with the wondetful AQS staff . I was so fortunate to be working in the lectures and slide shows. It was a real treat for me to see every lecture and slide presentation, I truly learned alot!

Then across to Ohio to the Gathering of Quilters of Toledo Ohio, with mom alongside of me. We stayed with Mary Clark and her husband and were treated like royalty. What a fantastic group of quilters I will never forget. These ladies are great and again, new friends made. I was fortunate to teach 3 quilt shops, The Quilt Patch in Michigan, bright cheery and spacious,The Quilt Foundry in Ohio, a neat rustic building with a huge workshop and very nice owners, and a new shop well worth the visit called Corner Quilts in Ohio, a log cabin with gorgeous woodwork and a sense of excellent decorating by the owner!

Then a favorite, my guilds quilt show this year called Quilts by the Lake, was held in Lake Wallenpaupack H.S. this year and a great time was had by all. I love when the Milford Valley Quilters Guild gathers again swelling with pride and excitement!

Then off to my home state of NJ to Freehold to the Molly Pitchers Stitchers Guild. Travelled with my winter mom Helen. This guild is the sweetest....

Then a return engagement at The Quilters Attic Quilt Shop in Pinebush, NY. Kathy, the owner always with a smile has the greatest groups that shop and gather for classes!

A true treat was teaching in Nashville, TN for AQS's 2003 Quilt Exposition. I roomed with Anita Shakelford and we had a grand time singing Irish songs and chatting nightly. My yahoo group FairieGoddessMothers was born in Nashville, many experiences will never be forgotten...and ohhh...the hotel, Gaylord Opryland Resort is a city in itself under a huge glass dome. Check it out!

Shortly after, I was lecturing for the County Line Quilters Guild in Chalafont, PA....what a great ride...stopped off at the Crayola Factory on the way and again, I have new friends within this guild.

Following week was The Brownstone Quilters Guild starting with a dinner at the Ramsey Country Club and my host Patti Rabe and her husband were perfect for me...2 cats, her hubby cooked breakfast, and Patti collects tiny chairs, I think there were 600 in the house....very cool!!!!

Then it was up to Massachusetts and New Hampshire to the Merrimack Quilters Guild. Stayed with wintermom's family in NH, only 7 miles from my lectures and classes. Ildi my hostess was so much fun, and what a great night we had at Jammie Party! Great potluck supper, and the most beautiful butterflies were created after a glass of wine....shhhhh!

Rested a week and then with excitement boarded a plane to Minnesota to the Minnesota State Quilters Guild! What an electric few days there. The textile Center was amazing, I was treated to a wonderful meal in "Dinkytown" was brought to Minneapolis to see a special statue....yep the Mary Tyler Moore Statue where I threw my quilt on her, hugged her and had my pic taken. New friends for life, Pam and Linda and I stayed across from the Mall of America...guess where I went at night??? Taught in a neat quilt shop called Quilts by the Falls in MN and at lunch the girls told me that malts were a standard drink for lunch...hmmmm, I wondered!

A few weeks rest and then back on the plane for more excitement....International Quilt Festival, my first time teaching there. I had pure fun there. I got to see old friends, made new ones and slept well every night. Teaching in Houston is an unforgetful event in itself....

And ending the year was with the Wiltwyck Quilters Guild in Kington, NY. What a great group. This guild does just about everything with great participation from their members.....they were a joy to be with....

Soo 2004 begins, and I am excited to see where my travels will bring me...hope to see you there!
