All Souls Day

This is the day I packed up "All Soul's Day" for
it's 3 years national tour with "The United We Quilt"
tour from AQS.
Creating this piece started the long journey of a healing
process I so badly needed to grieve the loss of my five friends
that died in the WTC on 9/11/01. I thought it necessary to
portray the three impact sites with glowing warm starshine
flowing upwards ....toward a more peaceful ,higher place.
At the bottom right corner, is an appliqued section of a dog
and cat that are both bandaged. Being an animal lover, I will
never forget the animals that perished, that were hurt and
all the brave dogs from the various Rescue Teams from across
the U.S.A.
